Sense and Sensibility

Sense and Sensibility - Jane Austen

I enjoyed the book, but not as much as Emma or Pride and Prejudice. I loved Colonel Brandon, but found it hard to believe that someone with Marianne's passionate nature would settle for him (no matter how worthy). I did not admire Edward Ferrars. I can't imagine why Elinor had such patience with him and saw his actions as completely honorable. So in the end I couldn't really sympathize with either sister and couldn’t truly rejoice at their "happy" endings. It's still Jane Austen and a good book, just not my favorite.
